MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The August 25-31 inspections are running across Russia's Southern, Western and Central military districts, as well as the Northern Fleet, Aerospace Forces and Airborne Troops.
"Special attention in the course of snap inspections is paid to the actions of commanders and headquarters in managing, collaborating and organizing communication between units, and countering the simulated enemy’s sabotage and reconnaissance groups," the press service said.
On August 10, Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said that it had eliminated a spy ring organized by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry in Crimea, which was preparing acts of sabotage on "critical and life-supporting elements of the peninsula's infrastructure."
