PARIS (Sputnik) — French authorities have deported 15 foreigners during this year for promoting hatred and terrorism, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said.
"We're not making concessions to those who call for hatred and provoke terrorism in mosques. I have given clear instructions to expel foreigners who use such narrative inside or outside mosques… From the beginning of the year we have deported 15 people, six of them in August," Cazeneuve told the Croix newspaper in an interview on Sunday.
He added that about 20 mosques and prayer halls have been shut down in recent months for radicalizing parishioners.
Since 2012, a total of 80 people have been deported from France for terrorist propaganda, according to the French interior minister.
