WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The United States will meet its goal of accepting 10,000 Syrian refugees this year, White House National Security Advisor Susan Rice said in a press release on Monday.
"[Obama] set a goal of admitting 10,000 Syrian refugees this fiscal year… a six-fold increase from the prior year," Rice stated. "Today, I am pleased to announce that we will meet this goal more than a month ahead of schedule."
