ALEPPO (Sputnik) — The military council of Jarabulus (JMC) and the Turkish army have agreed on a temporary cessation of hostilities in the Syrian town of Jarabulus and its outskirts, Rejzan Hedu, member of the Democratic Union Party formed by Syrian Kurds, told Sputnik on Tuesday.
"The first stage envisions a temporary agreement, not a permanent one….If the agreement is not violated, a dialogue will ensue, for example, on the exchange of prisoners," Hedu said.
The Kurdish politician stressed that the agreement has been reached exclusively between the JMC and the Turkish army, while the Kurdish militia and the Democratic Union Party are not part of this agreement.
