WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has slipped in the polls over the past week by two points, but still holds a six point lead over her Republican rival Donald Trump, a new NBC News/Survey Monkey poll revealed on Tuesday.
"Clinton now enjoys 48 percent support, while Trump holds steady with 42 percent," the poll stated on Clinton’s shrinking lead. "Last week Clinton led Trump by eight points."
When the poll added in Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson, and the Green Party's Jill Stein, Clinton's lead slips to just four points over Trump, 41-37 percent.
Johnson enjoys the support of 11 percent of the voters, while Stein has 5 percent.
The latest poll had a margin of error of one percentage point.
The US presidential election is scheduled for November 8.
