“Both the interest and ability demonstrated by women in the field has led us to allow women to participate in motorsports,” said Mahmud Seydanlu.
According to Seydanlu, motorcycling has become available for women thanks to the efforts of Iran’s Ministry of Sports and Youth.
“I truly hope we will witness women take part at a professional level both in domestic and international competitions,” said Seydanlu.
Mahmud Seydanlu said that motorsports are an individual activity, and therefore everyone must be tolerant and considerate with Iran’s culture, moral principles and dress code.
“We will make every effort to provide female athletes with all the assistance they require,” concluded Seydanlu.
