People started gathering in Sao Paulo, as well as in other cities across the country, on Monday, the day when the impeachment process against Rousseff opened. Earlier in the day, protesters burned tires, blocking several streets in Sao Paulo.
The protesters are unsatisfied with acting Brazilian President Michel Temer's austerity program and fear that he may remain in office if Rousseff is impeached.
