Ukraine's President: EU Will Give Kiev Visa-Free Travel, Lots of Money 'Soon'
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — He added that the European Union stands together with Turkey in the wake of July 15 military coup attempt and called on Turkey to remain close partners.

"The EU remains committed to keep up the momentum and dialogue on visa liberalisation. A lot has been achieved during the past months and we want to further build on these achievements. Since March, Turkey has made considerable progress but there are still outstanding benchmarks to be met, and the EU is fully committed to help Turkey achieve those," Avramopoulos said at the Press Conference with Turkish Minister for EU Affairs Omer Celik, as quoted in the European Commission's press release.

According to the deal agreed on March 18, Turkey pledged to take back all undocumented migrants who came to the European Union if EU countries received Syrian refugees from Turkey on a one-for-one basis.

The bloc also promised to accelerate Turkey's EU accession application and introduce visa-free regime once Ankara met the 72 conditions set by the bloc. Ankara has not fulfilled the five conditions that relate to data protection and anti-terror laws so far.
