MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The G20 should not get involved in foreign policy issues as there are other platforms to discuss matter such as the Syria crisis, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday.
"I think the G20 shouldn't get involved in this, there are other platforms. The G20 was created as a platform to discuss — first and foremost — international economic issues," Putin told Bloomberg.
The 2016 G20 summit of the world’s 20 biggest economies will be held in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou on September 4-5.
