MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian water bombing helicopters will perform at Aerial Firefighting Asia Pacific 2016 due to be held on September 5-6 in the Australian city of Adelaide, the press service of the manufacturer Russian Helicopters said Friday.
"We will demonstrate the firefighting capacities of the Russian helicopters to the foreign experts at Aerial Firefighting Asia Pacific. We will focus on Ka-32A11BC helicopter ranked among the best water bombing helicopters and currently used in more than 30 countries," the company's press release reads.
Ka-32A11BC is equipped with cutting-edge firefighting systems of the Bambi-Bucket and Simplex type as well as with horizontally-oriented water cannons. The helicopter is capable of filling its tanks and dropping water in a fixed position within one and a half minutes.
