The attacker detonated a hand grenade before activating his suicide vest, a local police officer told DawnNews.
At least 12 people were killed and 52 wounded, according to a rescue official. Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, which is a branch of Taliban, claimed responsibility for the bombing.

The attack happened hours after a terrorist act in a Christian neighborhood in Peshawar. Police eliminated all four attackers but at least four civilians were killed and five wounded, according to local law enforcement officers. Taliban terrorists reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack.
