MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Fresno police were alerted to an active shooter situation in the main lobby of the Fresno County Jail at 8:39 a.m. (15:39 GMT) on Saturday, according to the statement.
"Two Sheriff's employees were injured and taken to the hospital, their conditions are unknown. One suspect has been taken into custody," the Fresno County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook.
An investigation is ongoing into the shooting, with more details to be released throughout the day, the sheriff's office said.
