MOSCOW (Sputnik) — He cited a Twitter message from the US Embassy in Turkey, which said HIMARS systems in Turkey were "in place and in action". This is the latest step in US-Turkish cooperation in the fight against the Daesh militant group, the diplomatic mission said.

Earlier, US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said that the US deployed units to the Middle East that can operate the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) to aid the US-coalition against Daesh.
