MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Taipei Times newspaper reported that the Saturday rally gathered representatives of retired and active civil servants, public-school teachers and military personnel, who demanded Taipei not to target them in planned reform of the pension system.
The organizers reported about 250,000 protesters, while local authorities claim that the rally was attended by some 120,000 people, the newspaper added.
