MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu look set to meet in Moscow later on Monday, Palestine’s Ambassador to Russia Abdel Hafiz Nofal told Sputnik.
"An agreement in principle has been reached on a meeting in Moscow, although a few details have not been agreed upon yet," the diplomat said.
"There is yet no information on the time of the meeting. It will probably take place later [in the day], but we do not know when exactly," Nofal added.
A diplomatic source told Sputnik last month that the two leaders were considering coming to Moscow for Russia-mediated talks in late September, although the plan was not confirmed officially by either side.
