HANGZHOU (Sputnik) — Talks between US President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the G20 summit in China's Hangzhou lasted longer than planned as the two leaders discussed Syria and Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday.
"The meeting was longer than planned. Syria was first and foremost discussed, and Ukraine. After that Obama and Putin talked one-on-one. Work will continue," the spokesman said.
The G20 summit, which kicked off on Sunday, is set to last through Monday.
