Russian Rosoboronexport to Showcase Over 270 Types of Weapons at Army-2016

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian state arms exporter Rosoboronexport will exhibit hundreds of types of weaponry and advanced military equipment manufactured for export at the Army-2016 forum, Rosoboronexport said in a press release Monday.

"Rosoboronexport will bring over 270 pieces of military equipment to the exhibition. We are also going to put into action a new exhibition technology, developed by the company’s specialists, namely a touch screen terminal integrated into a network of demonstration displays, capable of capturing pictures of physical models and providing on-line catalogs. That is how we will demonstrate the T-90 tank, TOR-M2E SAM system, Project 636 submarine, Yak-130 combat trainer aircraft, and Ka-52 scout attack helicopter," the press release read.

Rosoboronexport plans to hold talks with government delegations and representatives of the business community from over 40 countries of Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

The Russian Defense Ministry's Army-2016 forum, which is set to take place on September 6-11 in Kubinka, a western suburb of Moscow, will bring together representatives from the Russian defense industry, research institutes, universities, as well as foreign companies. Over 800 Russian and foreign participants are expected to be involved in some 7,000 exhibitions throughout the week. The forum's participants and guests will attend a number of conferences and roundtables to discuss the future development of military technology.
