NIZHNY NOVGOROD (Russia) (Sputnik) — Russian company Heliports of Russia could open a helicopter center in country's Ulyanovsk Region, regional government said in a statement Monday.
"In September, opening of a helicopter center 'Heliport-Ulyanovsk,' which is an innovative and ambitious project on development of light aviation in Russia, is scheduled," the statement said.
According to Heliports of Russia's CEO Alexander Khrustalev, the construction of the heliport in the region started in 2014 and cost about 700 million rubles ($10.65 million at the current exchange rates).
Heliports of Russia was created in 2013 and possess an airfleet that consists of new models of helicopters, such as Bell, AirbusHelicopters, Robinson. The company provides a wide range of services, such air taxi, private pilots training and air techniques sales, according to the company's website.
