Each workstation is aimed at the entrepreneur — someone who is always on the move and needs a convenient, affordable and private place to work. The workstation boasts hi-tech services which will include Wi-Fi, plug sockets, a printer, scanner and VOIP phone, plus free coffee and tea. All of this will cost you a mere US$30.00 a month.

The concept behind the workstation idea, according to Pod Works, was — why sit in coffee shop when you can use one of these workstations and focus on your job or prepare for an important meeting.
Lorna Moore, the company director, said that these iconic telephone boxes will no longer be wasted and will be put to good use.
"There used to be over 70,000 red phone boxes in London, now there are only 7,000. This will be a great use for the memorable phone boxes that have since been forgotten," Ms. Moore told Sputnik.
The company hopes that in the future they will be able to develop an app that shows people where there nearest free pod in London is.
As they launched the work pod Tuesday (September 6), in central London, curious members of the public stopped for a sneak peak.

One passerby said the idea was, "genius," however, not everyone shared that excitement as another member of the public pointed out that the it wasn't really to their taste.
One thing's for sure — these familiar, iconic phone boxes will no longer be forgotten.
Justin Morley from Pod Works, developed all of the security for the pod, which consists of a smoke detector, designated user PIN to enter the workstation, 24 hour CCTV and even a panic button to exit the pod in case of an emergency.

Mr. Morley said that the security is in place to ensure the user is safe but also technical failures can be reported immediately to the central hub in order for they are quickly resolved.
"We know that each user of the pod will be able to leave the workstation in a safe and controlled manner," Mr. Morely told Sputnik.
Pod Works hope that by the end of the year they will have hundreds more across the UK and even in other countries. At present there is a huge demand for these type of work stations in Asia.
