MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia’s largest fuel and energy companies are interested in carrying out projects in Laos, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Government Executive Office Sergei Prikhodko said Wednesday.
"Rosneft is interested in supplying petroleum products to Laos, Gazprom is expressing willingness to participate in hydrocarbon production projects," Prikhodko said at a briefing.
He added that feasibility studies are being conducted on Russian involvement in the construction of new hydroelectric stations in Laos, and noted Vientiane’s interest in Russian industrial companies including the Kamaz truck manufacturer and the GAZ Group automaker.
