MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Moscow calls on Kiev to ensure security at Russian diplomatic missions in Ukraine during the September 18 Russian parliamentary elections, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Thursday.
"The Russian foreign Ministry and the Central Election Commission call on the Ukrainian authorities to ensure the security of Russian overseas institutions during the voting throughout the course of September 18," Zakharova said at a weekly briefing.
Polling stations will be opened at the Russian embassy in Kiev as well as Russian consulates in Odesa, Kharkiv and Lviv, the spokeswoman specified.
