VIENTIANE (Laos) (Sputnik) – On Wednesday, the Russian prime minister’s spokeswoman Natalya Timakova said that Obama and Medvedev had held a conversation at the reception organized for the leaders at the East Asia Summit (EAS) in Vientiane, the capital of Laos.
"Nothing specific has been discussed. They shook hands, exchanged a few words," the source said.
The 11th EAS summit kicked off on Wednesday and will last through Thursday. Established in 2005, the EAS brings together all member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) as well as Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and the United States.
