OPUK RANGE (Crimea), (Sputnik) – Around 60 military attaches from more than 40 countries have arrived in Crimea to observe one of the key stages of Russia’s Kavkaz-2016 strategic command and staff exercises, the Russian Defense Ministry said Friday.
“About 60 military attaches from more than 40 countries arrived at the Opuk range today, where a large-scale Kavkaz-2016 maneuver stage is taking place,” ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov told reporters.
Deputy Minister Anatoly Antonov said last week that foreign defense attaches have been invited to Friday's active stage of the September 5-10 drills.
