MANAMA (Sputnik) – On Tuesday, Russia and Bahrain signed four cooperation agreements following a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Isa Al Khalifa in Moscow.

Russia’s energy giant Gazprom and NOGA signed a memorandum of understanding on expansion of cooperation in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) sector, while Russia's Rosgeologia company and NOGA inked an agreement on strengthening cooperation in geological surveying for production of oil and natural gas.

"The company will start contacts with the Russian party in the near future, which is a start of implementing the memorandum of understanding between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Russia," the statement said.

The company added that the cooperation in the oil sphere would promote cooperation and coordination between two states.
