MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Gas leak in the main Ukrainian pipeline in Lviv has no effect on gas transit to Europe and reverse supplies to Ukrainian customers, Maxim Belyavsky, a spokesman for Ukrainian gas transport monopoly Ukrtransgaz, said Friday.
"Gas is being supplied for all categories of consumers in Ukraine – the public and the industry – on time and in full accordance with their needs. The situation has no effect on the transit to Europe, there are no victims," Belyavsky said.
The company is planning to repair the damage and restore gas imports from Poland within three days, he added.
On Friday morning, Ukrtransgaz reported depressurization of the main gas pipeline in the Lviv Region, which led to suspended gas supplies from Poland to Ukraine.
