MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Mogherini added that this operation was a great success of international efforts and an important step toward eliminating all chemical arsenals in Libya and congratulated all parties who worked hard to achieve this outcome.

"The safe removal of the remaining chemical weapons from Libya, in compliance with the Chemical Weapons Convention, constitutes a positive and important development for the stability of Libya," Mogherini said in a statement.

All remaining chemicals from Libya have reached the designated destruction facility in Germany where they will be safely disposed of.
