US Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has refuted speculations that Russia has an intention to influence the US presidential election process.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in September, US Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton blasted Russia for allegedly meddling in the US election in favor of Trump, citing "credible reports" that, she claimed, link Moscow to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) email dump by WikiLeaks.

"It’s probably unlikely… Maybe the Democrats are putting that out, who knows?… I just want to make sure that the election is 100 percent fair," Trump told the RT broadcaster in an interview published Thursday.

Voting for Anyone But Clinton Means You're Obviously a 'Russian Agent'
In July, the DNC server was hacked and the contents were released through WikiLeaks, revealing a sustained effort of top Democratic Party officials to undermine the campaign of US Senator Bernie Sanders in favor of giving the party’s presidential nomination to Clinton.

Russian officials have denied accusations that they were involved in the hack, calling the rumors "absurd." Russia has also denied any interest or intent to meddle in the internal affairs of the United States, including the November 2016 presidential election.
