MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The ex-Yukos head Mikhail Khodorkovsky’s initiative seeking alternative presidential candidates is out of Russia's agenda, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday.
"We really saw media reports about that. One can say only one thing in this regard: the projects seem to be developed and prepared for implementation by people, who are irrevocably out of Russia, of what is happening here, of Russian agenda," Peskov told journalists.
He added that the Kremlin saw nothing interesting in the project, including nominating ex-President Boris Yeltsin's daughter as a possible presidential candidate.
The Russian presidential elections will be held in 2018.
