MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A Russian arms manufacturer Almaz-Antey and the Council of European Union have presented their arguments in the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg and are awaiting the verdict, a court source told RIA Novosti news agency on Tuesday.
"The hearings are over, the decision will be announced later. The whole process from filing a suit to the announcement of the decision usually takes about 20 months," the source said.
Almaz-Antey is the producer of the Buk missiles and Russia's biggest defense contractor. The company contests two separate decisions of the Council of Europe, one concerning individual sanctions against the company introduced on July 30, 2014, another related to the sectoral restrictions imposed in September 2014.
