MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The statement of Luxembourg's Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn that Hungary should be excluded from the European Union based on its stance on migrant crisis and human rights was not agreed upon within the European states, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said Tuesday.
"You will find out that this was not a position that was agreed upon within the European states and this is why my first comment is that Europe is in a difficult phase that is posing many challenges which we have to live up to," Steinmeier said at a press briefing, broadcast live on the Latvian Foreign Ministry's website.
