ALMA-ATA (Sputnik) — The new Kazakh government does not include Dariga Nazarbayeva, the daughter of President Nursultan Nazarbayev and ex-deputy prime minister, according to the president's decrees on the cabinet changes published on Tuesday.
Kazakh president approved the appointment of ex-Prime Minister Karim Massimov as the chief of National Security Committee.
Former deputy prime minister Bykytzhan Sagintayev was appointed as prime minister.
Askar Mamin, ex-president of Kazakh national railway company will serve as first deputy prime minister. Askar Myrzakhmetov and Imangali Tasmagambetov were also appointed as deputy prime ministers. Myrzakhmetov will continue his work as a minister of agriculture.
Dariga Nazarbayeva had held the position of deputy prime minister since September 2015.
