WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – "Lockheed Martin invites members of the media attending the Africa Aerospace & Defence Expo [near Pretoria, South Africa] to a C-130J Super Hercules briefing on Thursday, September 15," the release stated.
Lockheed Martin added that it has already sold the C-130s to the governments of 19 African countries.
Over the past decade, the United States has expanded its military presence throughout Africa in an attempt to counter Chinese and other emerging nations’ influence, while consolidating control over critical strategic resources and trade routes.
