MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) postponed proceedings against Apple over pricing coordination suspected of stifling competition, FAS said Tuesday.
"A determination to postpone has been adopted due to the need to examine the information provided by the commission and the need to obtain additional information to objectively and comprehensively consider all the circumstances of the case," the FAS told RIA Novosti.
It added that the date of the proceedings would be determined later. FAS indicated earlier Apple may face a fine of $15,400 to $77,200.
FAS said early last month it launched the process after Russian citizens filed applications containing information on same prices set by 16 major resellers for Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, which entered the Russian market in October 2015.
