With less than two months before the US Presidential election, much has been made of the controversial Republican candidate Donald Trump. In order to find out his views on certain issues, a new chat bot has been developed to help voters see where Trump actually stands.

Available through Facebook Messenger, the "BFF Trump bot" allows users to converse and question the businessman-come-politician on a range of topics, from defense to Mexicans and even his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton.

The bot has collected a series of the real Donald Trump's most controversial comments and collated them so that users can get a first-hand impression of the Republican candidate's views on key issues.

The bot was developed to try and engage millennials and other young voters ahead of the November election, after research found that many people knew very little about Trump and his opinions.

Given that many "Generation Y" voters relied on social media platforms such as Facebook for their political news, BFF Trump creators decided to use the Facebook Messenger app as a way to try and reach more young people.

So, in the interest of political engagement, Sputnik decided to ask BFF Trump a few questions about key issues ahead of November's election.

After Sputnik initiated the conversation with a standard "Hi BFF Trump, how are you?" the bot replied in emphatic fashion, saying that it had "opinions on everything from walls to women."

Without further provocation, BFF Trump asked if Sputnik had heard about "the Mexicans."

The bot then mentioned that although he didn't like the media's use of the term "mass deportation," he said "we must enforce the laws of the land."

After some cheap publicity for Trump Tower taco bowls, BBF Trump declared that he loved "Hispanics," before the tone of the chat quickly turned serious, with the bot telling Sputnik that it was "a national embarrassment" for illegal immigrants to receive free health care.

When prodded to change topic, BFF Trump moved onto the issue of "blacks," boldly stating: "Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day."

As the chat progressed the bot moved onto a variety of topics, including guns — "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose any voters," and Hillary Clinton, to which a fired-up BFF Trump told Sputnik: "PUSH MY BUTTONS!"
