PARIS (Sputnik) — An unnamed teenager was allegedly in touch with French jihadist Rachid Kassim, who regularly calls on compatriots to commit attack through his Telegram messenger account, according to BFMTV.
The suspect was allegedly trying to get a gun to commit an attack but his target and plan of attack are unknown. Searches are underway at his home after the arrest.
Due to security concerns, France has been in a state of emergency since the Paris attacks last November. This status was extended for six months in July after a deadly truck attack in the seaside resort of Nice.
