The Chronicles of David Cameron: Don't Hate the Player, Hate the Game

Ed Victor Ltd. is the "no-brainer" choice when it comes to literary representation for Cameron. Ed Victor himself is the top honcho of literary agents with a reputation for getting the maximum amount of money from other former PMs' chronicles, including Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.

The timeline of Cameron's departure from public office could well be placed in the 'Horror' section in book shops. 'Horror' being quite the popular genre, as fellow former PM Tony Blair found when he acquired a whopping US$6.09 million (£4.6m) advance deal for his musings after leaving his top job in the UK government. Also represented by Ed Victor Ltd, in the case of Blair, there may have been no other option but to donate all proceedings to the Armed Forces, a presumably uncomfortable, but still noble gesture considering the impact his decisions had on frontline officers fighting illegal battles on his behalf.

Criticisms around some of Cameron's political legacies likely being the collapse of Libya, emergence of Daesh — also known as ISIL — and not forgetting the infamous Brexit catastrophe from the EU, may just have increased his market value demand. Now the competition is on as to who will make more money between the former failed PMs: Cameron or Blair? 

Mr. Cameron is said to want a minimum of US$5.3 million (£4m) from a publisher, which is a little lower than Blair's sum, but then he didn't really live up to the overachieving expectations that once were for his political career prior to quitting and leaving new UK PM Theresa May in charge to pick up all the mess Brexit has created.

Since leaving public office however, Cameron is said to have been busy looking towards a number of commercial ventures and future endeavors, in addition to concentrating firstly on his book release.

He has been searching for an office space in the London and there has also been some speculation that the former Tory leader may have received a head-hunted job opportunity from billionaire entrepreneur and multi-industry, space exploration magnate Elon Musk. Could it have been as chief officer on board a space station, or part of a future crewed mission to Mars even? 

For now, in the Labour red corner Blair's US$6.09 million plus royalties aside, and in the Tory blue corner it is anyone's guess as to what actual valuation Cameron is likely to earn beyond the unconfirmed estimations. Get your bets ready… and to quote a line from the famous Japanese gameshow… "Banzai!!!"
