The Third Party candidate expressed her alarm with Hillary Clinton’s vow to implement a no-fly-zone in Syria which she believes would bring the United States into a direct air war against nuclear armed Russia.

On Friday, Green Party nominee Jill Stein expressed horror at Hillary Clinton’s plans to address the growing crisis in Syria by establishing a no-fly-zone arguing that such a measure would bring the United States into direct confrontation against Russian aerospace forces backing the Assad regime.

Currently, the Russian government has backed the controversial Syrian leader with a focus on stabilizing the domestic situation in order to prevent the country from becoming a failed terrorist state overtaken by Daesh terrorists while the United States has long taken the position that the fight against Daesh could be held concurrently with ousting the Assad government.

Somewhat naively, it appears that the United States government believes that the transition of Assad would bring about a democratic movement in Syria, but in recent months the position of the Obama administration has changed drastically with the so-called moderate rebels now known to be interlinked with both al-Qaeda and Daesh affiliated groups bringing to bear the reality in the region that the choice seems to be either Assad or the jihadists.

Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, however, known for her hawkish views on foreign policy and adverse position towards Russia – with Russian President Vladimir Putin accusing the candidate of “playing the Russian card” in an effort to recreate the imagery that Russia is an “evil empire” – continues to call for an aggressive posture of regime change in Syria as the key to resolving the crisis.

"Hillary Clinton wants to start an air war over Syria with a nuclear-armed power [Russia] with 2,000 nuclear weapons on hair-trigger alert. Given Hillary Clinton’s record not only in Iraq, but in Libya, I think it is as dangerous as it gets," explained Jill Stein.

The Green Party nominee did not have fawning words to say about the Republican nominee either, but seemed to reserve her harshest criticism for the former Secretary of State.

"Donald Trump wants to bar Muslims from entering this country, but Hillary Clinton has been very busy bombing Muslims in other countries," said Stein.
