"The president's one-sided deal for Cuba and with Cuba benefits only Castro regime," Trump stated on Friday evening.
However, Trump noted that all concessions Obama has made were done through executive order.
"The next president can reverse them and I will do that unless the Castro regime meets our demands. Those demands will include religious and political freedom for the Cuban people and the freeing of political prisoners," Trump continued.
In December 2014, Obama announced the United States would normalize relations with Cuba after more than 50 years of non-engagement and hostilities.
While the two countries reopened embassies in their respective capitals in July 2015, the congressionally-mandated US trade embargo continues to remain in effect.
