The young woman, who works as a journalist and a teacher of Latin and Greek, crossed 8 countries (Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Belarus and Russia) to get to Moscow and make her dream come true.
"Moscow is a symbolic city for me. Moscow managed to withstand Napoleon and Hitler, it survived the October Revolution. It was worth riding 3000 km to see the city," Sozzi told Sputnik.
Replying to the question of her impressions of the city, the young woman said that she was fond of Moscow and its residents, adding that all of them were very polite and respectful to her.
"In the West, there is a stereotype that they [people] are self-contained and rude, but I have the opposite opinion: they are always ready to help, and talk, and laugh together. As for the alcohol, this problem is not so widespread here as perceived in Italy," Sozzi said.
Commenting on her future plans, Sozzi said that she was going to come back to Russia and visit other places, maybe even next summer.
"Next time, I would like to go to St. Petersburg (probably not on the bike, but with my family). There is also another crazy idea spinning in my mind: taking a bike trip along the Trans-Siberian Railway. Maybe next summer I will," the woman said.
This summer, a team of young people from Russia and Canada also travelled on their bikes across Russia. The team started their trip in Moscow in late May and cycled almost 8,000 km, finishing their ride in one of the trip participants' hometown of Mirny, in Eastern Siberia, by September.
