"We need to ensure the sustainability of the taken actions, I mean all means of prevention and avoidance of terror acts, to stop them, to avert them. This is a constant work, which requests additional resources, even on top of the resources I have already resorted to in a bid to strengthen these measures," the French president was quoted as saying by the BFMTV broadcaster.
Hollande stressed, that the government would finance the measures and means necessary to fight against terrorism in the county more effectively.
France has been hit by deadly terror attacks since 2015, which claimed lives of more than 200 people. Following the attacks, the French government has been implementing measures to prevent acts of terrorism. In July, Hollande announced plans to establish the National Guard that would be tasked to protect the country's citizens amid the increased terrorist threat in France.
