MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to the Sunday statement, the airstrikes destroyed oil infrastructure, tactical vehicles, artillery systems, fighting positions as well as damaging supply routes in various locations of Syria.
In Iraq, the coalition destroyed on Saturday oil infrastructure, vehicle-bomb facilities, mortar and artillery systems, a weapons facility and a Daesh headquarters building, the statement read.
The US-led coalition of more than 60 nations has been carrying out airstrikes in Iraq and Syria since the summer of 2014. In Syria, the coalition is acting without the approval of the legitimate government of President Bashar Assad or the UN Security Council.
Daesh, also known as Daesh in Arabic, has been designated as a terrorist organization and is outlawed in Russia and numerous other countries throughout the world.
