WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US Military Academy at West Point in the state of New York has been placed on lockdown, local media reported on Monday.

The lockdown has been enforced after a suspicious car got past security barriers and entered the base, News12 reported.
MidHudsonNews.com wrote that the driver could be the suspect wanted in the Manhattan explosion on Saturday night.
The Academy, also known as The Point, is located some 50 miles north of New York City.
