KALININGRAD (Sputnik) — The statement added that the pilots would also train landing of troops, support of land forces and would conduct missile launching and bombing.
"More than 20 crews of Su-27 and Su-24 warplanes, Mi-24 and Mi-8 military transport helicopters, as well as shipborne Ka-27 helicopters and An-26 military transport aircraft are taking part in the exercise. The crews of the naval aviation will drill interception and destruction of real air target and the search for simulated enemy's submarines," the statement said.
According to the statement, more than 500 servicemen from the Baltic Fleet's airbase of naval aviation would take part in the military exercises.
