BRUSSELS (Sputnik) — The Slovak capital of Bratislava is expected to hold the European Council, the European Union's quarterly summit, on October 20-21.
"The third point we today agreed will be on the agenda in October — our relations with Russia," Ivan Korcok said at a press conference, following the General Affairs Council meeting.
He added that the agenda would also include such issues as migration and trade policy.
Since 2014, relations between Russia and the European Union deteriorated amid the crisis in Ukraine. The bloc has introduced several rounds of anti-Russia sanctions since Crimea reunified with Russia in 2014 and on the pretext of Moscow's alleged involvement in the Ukrainian conflict.
