MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Hollande told the UN General Assembly that "France has four requests: firstly that we impose the ceasefire in line with the decisions that have been taken…Then we need to assure the immediate sending of humanitarian aid to Aleppo and other martyred cities."
"We must also ensure that political negotiations resume along the lines of the transition that was established as long ago as 2012. Finally, we must punish the use of chemical weapons. That is an issue of justice," he went on.
"If we take these decisions now, if we act, then there will be a solution for Syria…there will finally be hope for refugees and displaced persons," the French president stressed.
"And for the coalition, for the US, what is in my interest is to make distinction between the groups representing the Syrian opposition…and those groups…that are not that different from Daesh," Hollande said.
