TEL AVIV (Sputnik) — According to the investigators, a 25-year-old had submitted 10 death threats addressed to Netanyahu through the online application submission form on the prime minister's official website.
"In the period between August 16 and 21, the defendant… had been sending messages containing threats to kill the prime minister in hope that the head of the government would receive them. He also demanded the prime minister to transfer 2.5 million shekels [over $600,000] into his account," the Israeli State Attorney's office said in a press release.
The attorney's office added that the prime minister had not received the death threats.
