The method, promoted by Trabun on his Facebook page, is fairly simple – one merely has to choose a porn video and narrate the lurid chain of events which transpire on camera as a show of frankness and refusal to conform to prudishness.
"A prudish, sterile and conservative attitude is being forced (upon the society) by the government, with no explanation and no opportunity for discussion being offered. This unhealthy duality also manifests in the lack of a neutral lexicon that we could use to talk about sex," Trabun explained.
As of now, at least ten Facebook users have already followed Trabun’s example, posting their narrations online.
"The thing I like the most about #Rospornobzor is the attempt to find a language to describe sexual practices. I believe it got me really close to discovering a topic for an ethnomethodology essay," one of the Facebook users taking part in this new trend remarked.
Pornhub is a pornographic video-sharing website and the largest pornography site on the Internet.
In 2015 the Russian-language version of Pornhub was blacklisted by the local telecommunications watchdog Roskomnadzor, and on September 14, 2016 the website was banned in Russia completely.
The website’s administration appeared unfazed by this development, jokingly offering Roskomnadzor a premium account for the ban’s lifting – an offer that was humorlessly rebuked by the agency.
Meanwhile, as thousands of Internet users were disgruntled by the Pornhub ban, a number of Russian porn actresses praised the prohibitive measure, hoping that it would help boost revenues from the sale of pornographic content.
