MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia looks to reach its daily oil output of 11.1 million barrels in the near future after launching new fields, Russian Deputy Energy Minister Kirill Molodtsov said Thursday.
"We believe that updated forecasts… are true and we can stay at this level evenly and confidently. At the same time, [11.1 million barrels of oil per day] is quite a realistic level that we can reach taking into account the launched fields," Molodtsov said at a conference.
Russia reached a record-setting oil production volume of more than 11 million barrels per day on September 8, with output at 11.085 million barrels as of Tuesday.
