WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Trump “has cut more than half of Democrat Hillary Clinton's lead in a month, but still trails by seven percent among likely voters in Virginia (44%-37%)," a note accompanying the Roanoke College Poll said.
In August, Clinton led Trump by 16 points in the same poll.
In the new survey, the percentage of likely Virginia voters who are undecided remained the same, but the share of those leaning toward Clinton declined 4 percent. Those leaning toward a vote for Trump increased 5 percent, the new poll found.
The US presidential election is scheduled for November 8.
