WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The United States holds Russia ultimately responsible for the Syrian government’s military operations in Aleppo, a senior US administration official told reporters.
"Given the fact that this sort of offensive [in Aleppo] is not supposed to take place under a cessation of hostilities, whether or not Russia was involved… we hold them responsible for these types of actions that even if they are simply by the regime," the official stated on Thursday.
